Capacitors

Capacitors prevent dips in power when amplifiers consume power. Car batteries cannot provide enough high-speed current over long lengths of cable so a capacitor is necessary near the amplifiers to prevent this dip in power.

Car audio capacitor are highly recommended for regulating the voltage sent through other audio peripherals. Capacitors are essential for minimizing the early burn out of equipment due to the heat generated by amplifiers, and other powerful devices.
