How do I add a cameras or a multi-camera system to my factory radio display?
This is not usually possible with a factory system unless you utilize an screen interface or a factory back up camera retention harness.
These are required because the factory screen does not have an input that aftermarket car cameras can use. If you plan on only connecting a single camera you can use the interface or harness and connect a camera directly to that input. If you want a multi-camera or birds eye camera system you will need to use the appropriate camera processor.
Using either a retention harness or a navigation interface will require you to use a multi-camera processor as well.

Multi-camera processors: https://www.qualitymobilevideo.com/car-video/car-cameras/back-up-camera-accessories/external-quad-screen-processors.html
Drawbacks:
- You will need to use a camera switcher to allow the connection of more than one camera, see this knowledgebase article: Multiple cameras on a stereo with one input
- You will only have camera from the multi-camera switcher displayed when the reverse camera is on.
- An external controller will have to be used to select between the different cameras.
Most multi-camera systems typically use an external monitor that is not part of the radio. Generally these are quad screen enabled displays or multi-camera processor connected to a conventional display: https://www.qualitymobilevideo.com/car-video/car-cameras/quad-screen-monitors.html
