New materials
To create new A-Series speakers, various materials were combined to create extra lightness and rigidity to produce outstanding sensitivity while remaining very clear. The A-series speakers feature a multilayer mica matrix cone where a surface containing mica properly maintains the cone’s superior rigidity making them light and water resistant.
Tweeters and Midrange
A-Series speakers have a smooth off-axis response, they feature a soft dome tweeter that utilizes a wave guide. This wave guide design ensures mid and high frequencies that emit in a uniform and wide dispersion patter. This results in a smooth response both on and off axis. The wave guide is combined with newly developed tweeter that disperses sound more widely providing listeners with the best sound possible under all conditions.
Large Magnet structure
The large magnet structure greatly enhances the speed of the cone while providing impressive power and response.
Oversized Cone
The cone is 14% larger that cones on conventional 6-1/2 inch speakers yet they will fit in the exact same cutout.
